In case anyone wants to see some closer up pictures of the fire near our home on Green Mountain, check out my friend Jason's site. He apparently went "right up close" as Stephan would say, and got some pictures of the flames and firefighters. I'm so thankful they were able to contain the fire and keep everyone and our homes safe from harm and damage!

That's amazing. I can't believe those trucks were so close.....and those firefighters. They're right by the fire! Without hoses or anything. Yikes.

Yikes! His pics make it all seem really serious. SO glad that no one was hurt!

Me too! The awesome firefighters are credited with saving the homes. Some of the residents went out to help and do what they could as well. There's a real science to fighting wild fires and I'm glad they know what they are doing.

It does look a whole lot scarier in his pictures. I too am glad everything but the grass is back to ususal. Will be interesting to watch nature reclaim itself over then next few years.
